QUOTE(Osmose Productions)Due to technical printing problems with the booklet the CD version might be available for the 23rd.
Same problem with the vinyl version excepted we don't have a delivery date yet.
Considering how much of a big deal I made out of the album not being available on the 15th, I thought I may as well keep the thread up to date with all the latest developments regarding when it might be available

QUOTE"SHINING has once again entered the Slaughterhouse [studios] to begin work on 'Shining VII'. The seventh album will take a different direction from that taken on the sixth (which incidentally we have been told will be released on the June 30th unless there are any other problems with the printers). Tracklist and samples from 'Shining VII' will follow as soon as we start mixing the album."
SHINING recently inked a deal with Norway's Indie Recordings for the release of two full-length albums and the first-ever DVD from the band.
Commented SHINING frontman and creator Niklas Kvarforth: "SHINING has reached a stage now where we have a considerable following that is growing rapidly all the time, and I believe we have reached a new maturity with our music, expanding beyond what people expect from us, and we expect to go even further. It was, therefore, time to notch things up in respect of labels. We liked what Indie have been doing for their other bands, and we felt that SHINING would be comfortable in a relationship with them."

I'm not sure if dear old Nik it telling us porkies again or not.. Shining VII?! Shining VI hasn't even been released yet!
Though apparently, it's out today. Osmose finally has the album available to order. Two vinyl editions, double black (limited to 500) and double white (limited to 200) as well as the CD version. I have to say, I'm tempted to order my white LP now, regardless of knowing exactly when it'll be available. I don't want to miss out.

My vinyl arrived yesterday, so I've only had chance to listen to the album once.
My first impressions were that it's another very natural progression from their last album. Touching on almost prog at times... Anyways, I can see how this album might have a bit of a rocky reception among some fans, but I honestly couldn't give a shit how grim, black, or depressive their music is. I think it's great, especially the 'heavy metal' solos.
Top track so far is definitely 'Fullständigt Jävla Död Inuti' but like I said, I've only listened to it once.
