QUOTE(ScnJ @ Aug 19 2008, 09:09 PM) Does the melodic style of soloing from songs like Gunshot and Like Light To The Flies make a return, or is it just the technical shred style soloing that was on The Crusade?
um I'd say there is a mix of both. There are some good melodic leads though.

@ Brogen :
You bring good news; but even if they were bad - thank you for giving us all the info.
I'd like to ask a question, if I may => Where do you feel the two already released tracks ('Kirisute Gomen' & 'Into the Mouth of Hell [We March']) stand in comparison to the other stuff on the album? Are they average, better, worse..? I mean, I know it may be kinda hard to decide (and that it's all relative), but if you can, please tell. And what about 'Down From the Sky' (if you can identify the track on the mix you have) ?
Thanks..!

I personally like both of those songs, but there are some stronger tracks on the album in my opinion. I'd say they're probably in the middle of the pack - vague I know.
And "Down From The Sky" was funny the first time through because it frankly got boring. It has a good intro, but the verses are pretty bland. However the song picks up later on and it ends up being a pretty solid track. The chorus is pretty good as well. This album has some catchy choruses with good lead work.
edit: and I know it sounds lame, but it would be a great album to be released on Guitar Hero or Rock Band. It would be fun.

Bogen, on KG and ITMOHWM both choruses have a lot of vocal harmonies going on... I was wondering if the rest of choruses on Shogun share this kind of structures...

RoadRunner put a sort of 'tag' on the music , which basicly has the name of the persn that owns the cd etc encoded ito the music , you wont notice it, but they have programs, which should it leak they can trace ot back to the person who originally had the cd

I'm actually glad they did that. So now we ALL have to wait!

Well except the people with the CD...

In your opinion, is Shogun the best track? Oh, and is it instrumental like The Crusade or does it have vocals?

From what I've heard, Shogun is a long, epic song (over 10 minutes) but not an instrumental. I think...
