on most songs, my pc does it. I figured this'd be cool to record and use as backing tracks to jam along to on guitar... |

Most of the Soundcards can do this you have to select what you want to record in the Windows Audio Manager. In your record-Program (i use Soundforge 6) you can select as input "Record what i hear" or The "Windows Soundmapper". |
