Matt is more frequently using his Gibson again and it looks like even when Corey uses his signature he covers up the Dean logo real nice with black masking tape.

Thoughts?

Would love for Corey to use Jackson and Matt to use Gibson again.

Well that Gibson is a Custom Les Paul that when Matt swapped to Dean said he'd never get rid of, so I don't think there's anything strange about him playing it.
The tape on Corey's guitar may be because that looks awfully like the one he trashed last time I saw them. If they're with Dean still, I'm pretty sure Dean wouldn't want to see a Dean logo on photo's of a guitar being trashed by a player Dean sponsors?

I can understand Matt using his LP because like you said he's stated that has sentimental value to him.
But I don't think Corey would tape up the Dean logo on his guitar just because he banged it up a little. Hell, Matt smashed a Dean Razorback on stage and I don't think he covered the logo with tape...you know...before he smashed it.

Fugue, thats not the same one he used to use, and I don't see the problem with using other guitars while being endorsed by another company. Plenty of people do it, it's not the end of the world..

Matt's headstock broke off his Rising Sun Dean in Dundee the other night. I think he just set it down against part of the stage and a few moments later it fell over. It didn't even look like it fell that hard but when his tech picked it up his headstock was almost sitting at a right angle. Paolo commented that was why he played BC Rich

It's nice to see Matt rocking that Gibson still.. with his long hair.... and his harsh vocals.. THE EMBER TO INFERNO LOOK IS BACK BABY!!!!!!!

That still doesn't explain Corey taping up the Dean logo.

Meh, they didn't have a falling out with dean, theres not telling why Corey had the logo covered, it wasn't to hide the dean logo, cause his seven string didn't have tape across it..

"its not to cover up the logo earlier int he tour the headstock broke in half so it got glued back on so the tape is there for extra support"
and about matt using a les paul:
"he snaged a new guitar while we were over here and wants to play it.. he loves les pauls so . plus many of our guitars have broken on this tour so we are running low on axes"

talked to 'em about it last night.
They said they aint leaving Dean.
Matt using the LP again cause he just decided he wanted to see how it felt to play again. and liked it lol .
