what the hell? linkin park with metallica and mastodoon! thats just crazy. wanna be metal little emo shits.

Linkin Park aren't even remotely emo.. Anyway, this doesn't look like it's going to be a majorly metal festival. So I'd probably expect more popular acts such as Linkin Park to be announced.

anyone heard any other rumours for this festival? I am not sure whether theres enough bands confirmed to justify the £160 for just two days yet

They're brave, putting it the same weekend as the biggest metal festival on the planet which has tended to attract plenty of people from the UK in recent years...

Not this year! In my opinion, this year's lineup is the weakest I've seen for years.

February 10, 2009 10:14:39 AM UTC Post #7

True that. But other years Wacken has had the best festival lineups! (Which is what I sorta meant)
If I had to vote on best Festival this year.. Maryland Deathfest gets me vote.
MAINLY because Bolt Thrower and Pestilence are playing it. And other bands that I love.

Wacken this year is pretty bad ass actually, i would go if i had the money.

I dont know if I want to attend Bloodstock yet. Would be nice (mainly for the Metal market... so many cool t-shirts and CDs *drools*)
But it all comes down to money really.
Bring on UK DEATHFEST!
