Not many people seem to think that.

Why do you think that?

And it wont let me use any of the GP programs now? It just says the free trail ended...

I can't stand the layout of Guitar Pro, I don't like the way it plays the songs either. Also the midi sounds like shit, and I just find PT generally easier to use.

Brian, you should bring back your old "Guitar Tone Explanation Thread", or whatever it was. I can imagine alot of people could benefit from your sheer superiority

That just added to the amusement of the thread.
It was like a good soap on TV - occasionally with some sort of purpose but generally just a load of emotional bollox

I say bring back the thread and it's glorious arguments!

Layout, and all the asthetcis can be argued, yes. But in terms of MIDI. If you have GP set at default, its going to sound exactly the same as PT. Because they're both just using default midi mapping, and will sound the exact same.
So, in other words, if you think the GP midi sounds like crap, you tihnk PT midi sounds equally crappy.

Memories of the Guitar Tone Thread are growing stronger

I think they both sound shitty...
