I'm just starting to sweep...can any1 he;p me with some good techniques?

You always want to pick the direction you're going.
For example, take C Major:
|--15p-12-----------12-15p-12--|
|----------13----13----------------|
|-------------12--------------------|
d u d d d u
p = Pull off
d = pick down
u = pick up
You can apply that to all your shapes.
Same thing applies with 4 string, 5 string, ect...
When you reach the last note of the sweep, pick it in the direction of the next note.
Remember, practice makes perfect, and slow it down if you have to.
