Yeah, I think I might do that. Although I've got version 3 on my laptop and it always works fine, so it's a bit odd. Definitely worth a try though, it beats having to completely reinstall it every time.

Now i have my own problem. I just bought some new computer parts and i have 2 Hard Drives installed. They are both Western Digital caviar HDD's one is 250GB, its split in 4 partitions. I boot windows Vista from that HDD and it works.
The other HDD is a 500GB one, filled with data (mostly media), and it was filled from another computer. I cannot see this HDD in windows at all. But i can see it in the BIOS setup so the SATA port is working fine. I cannot just change SATA ports as the board is shit, it only has two. and yeah both my HDD's are SATA.
Sooo can anyone help me here? i wanna be able to see my 500 GB HDD.
I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium, the HDD is less than 4 months old, the board is 2 days old.

I don't know TOO much about vista but search around online for hard drive management for vista. It SHOULD recognize the device and install it as a secondary hard drive, as XP does, but I don't really know. I beta'd vista for about 5 months and then went back to XP cuz the ram I had in my old PC couldn't handle it. If that doesn't work try finding your device manager and shit and seeing if the computer knows it has two hard drives.

Microsoft is already developing the next Windows that will come out in late 2009. Basically Vista will go down in history as a in between system similiar to how it was with Windows 2000 so its best to just stay with Windows XP for now.

haha I had exactly the same sort of problem when I got this PC, it was very quick and easy to sort out but I can't for the life of me remember how I did it! Sorry!
I have a small problem of my own: I'm using Firefox 3, which for some retarded reason has decided to only display some pages in basic html. To view these boards or my myebay (but not the rest of ebay!) properly I'm having to use Chrome.
Anyone got any ideas?

Mine does that randomly, the only way to get round it is to restart firefox. Although if you're consistently having problems with a couple of specific sites then I don't really know what to do.

Thanks, but I already tried that - its a site-specific problem.
It seems to happen after I try to load a page too many times when my connection's fucked.

Ahh, firefox. Works like a dream 99% of the time then fucks you over like the wanton harlot it is. I still don't know why it sporadically deletes all my bookmarks from time to time.
