I will have to listen to shogun after this, but actually, the crusade might even be better than that for me did I just say that????? interesting opinion of me if its true, we shall soon see

i thought the album waz ok...but all of their other albumms totally kick its ass bigtime...specially ascendancy and shogun!

I must say that wasn't a fair statement because I'd listened to alot of its songs on youtube and now that I bought the album and let it fully sink in. I would now put the album there with their other three albums! I think its great. The only thing I didn't like was the anthmetic/Kiss thing going on insongs like "Anthem" and "The Rising."

Overall, I love the album, to the rats, thread the floods, and unrepentant are my favorite besides the crusade which is just amazing.

When The Crusade first came out, i was initially disappointed. I couldnt really explain it, it just didnt sit well with me. When Shogun came out i felt like i should really give The Crusade another chance, and now i absolutely love it. Nearly every track is excellent and it's just a beast of an album overall! It's great to see the song-writing progression from Embers all the way to Shogun, and its great to see that the band aren't becoming stale or stagnant.
