its one of my favs just cause i think its crazy how they can come up with so much content that keeps my attention for 7 and some odd minutes. that is a not so easy task, just ask my teachers. lol |

The Crusade is a masterpiece. It's amazing how well it is composed. They are constantly changing key signatures and time signatures. Matt and Corey do an amazing job with the guitars, Travis conducts the train and keeps it on the tracks, and Paolo is adding amazing up beat accents in odd time measures. And all the while it never becomes redundant and has no need for vocals. This is by the far the best all around metal instrumental I've ever heard. |
