Hi guys...what do you think about the song crusade??
For me it's simply fantastic and amazing, it sounds like Dream Theater stuff...

They look at it as their most ambitious piece on the crusade, I think it's pretty damn good shows what they're capable of

Yeah i can definatly see them incorparating deep instrumentals into their future albums.. Like Asphyxiated said, shows us what theyre capable of.. I love it..

Really good song.
I'm missing a bit a development in the song it starts heavy, then suddenly goes into a quiet part and then gets heavy again..., and the solos are imo a bit too standart for an instrumental... And they shouldn't have repeated that part from 1:12 - 2:12 , it's too long and too boring if it is repeated. Great bass work there, though you can hear the bass only in the leaked version and not in the studio version.

The leaked version is a copy of the studio version, unless you're talking about the one Bruce played on the air, in that case it was the people who ripped its EQ settings and audio hardware that made it different. No doubt in my mind Bruce played the album version on air. I can hear Paolo quite well the entire album.

I like the Crusade more as a song than as an instrumental. The riffs are pretty predictable, as in, you know what's going to come next, and there is a lot of repetition. The riffs, melodies, and solos all fit and make a great song. It's catchy, kind of like a "Call of Ktulu" or "Into the Lungs of Hell". I give the guys a lot of credit- but the song to me is more a sum-up of the whole album, and epic piece, rather than a technical instrumental.
If you want to hear a serious instrumental band, check out the early works of Hella (especially the albums Hold Your Horse Is and the Devil Is Not Red). They are some seriously talented instrumentalists.

Might be. All I know is that I've got a leaked version and a studio version, and I can hear the bass in that part (and the solo in the quiet part) really good in the leaked version, but in the studio version it's rather difficult to hear it.
And in my opinion, you can't compare Call of Ktulu or Lungs of Hell with that instrumental. Call of Ktulu is way less technical, but way more musical. Ktulu HAS epic melodies, has a great intro, that slowly develops into something real big. I can't hear that epic thing in Crusade.
Great song though, I really like to listen to it, but it could have been better, and it's not that epic like I expected it to be. Too much technical difficulties to be epic.

Please don't ever again compare Trivium with BFMV, ok?
