I'll do a full review of my own opinion =]
1.Rain vs Ignition/Detonation
In this case we are comparing imo the guitar riffing as the singing is completly different -.-
Imo ignition has a better singing style that rain anyway...
Rain has a nicer intro than ignition definatly but detonation has one of the best intros on the album.
Main riff of rain is actually the same as the intro riff which is ok I guess but with detonation in paricular the riffs seem to be more shredding and a bit more complex.
Rain has a decent solo, nothing to complex but the sound is the key for this one Rain's solo sounds good with the other riffs BUT it doesn't scratch that mean sweep Matt does in Detonation imo.
2.Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr vs Entrance Of The Conflagration
In this case I rather the Pull Harder intro as the drums seem to be quite good although Entrance does show vocals off with the intro AHHAHHAHHHAHHs (lol)
Pull harder has a nice D intro riff where as Entrance has one in the key of E, this is where personal opinion comes in... if your a massive metallica fan you will prefer Entrance no doubt in my mind, but if you are a sweedish death fan you will most probibly like Pull harder more.
Vocal styles are completly different here it comes down to the sweedish death or metallica factor again. I personally think matt's voice is alot greater when he doesn't scream, he can show it off a bit more and not have to worry about damaging his voice and just leave Corey damage his (lol)
Live Paolo does the "makes this world so hopeless" and "spread his genocidal wings" as a backing part, I think this is pretty cool seems to be in perfect harmony I must say, but Paolo's AHHAHHHAHHHAHHHs in Entrance beat that.
Main guitar riffs for both seem decent it's purely down to musical taste they both seem to be on about the same playing level.
In this case Pull Harder solo seems a bit better, personally I think it's because it grabs you alot more Entrance's solo seems a bit bare and is missing something imo but I still like it 
3.Drowned And Torn Asunder vs Anthem (We Are The Fire)
Both these songs ain't particularly my favourites tbh, I don't mind them but not my cup of tea.
DTA intro riff is nice, good to listen to not the hardest to play where as anthems intro riff isn't hard to play but can get a bit anoying if is overplayed.
Singing styles are completly different anthem really has a Crue feel to it, I think it's a song you'll beable to put on and dance to in about 20 years... you get what I mean 
The solos out of both seem nice, Anthem does beat DTA though solo wise, I think it's purely because they are putting sweeps in now... the sweeps in anthem seem to be some of the nicest on the album if not nicest been made by Trivium, Corey does a really nice sweep with a tapped frett in it whilst in his first solo (I think it's first, correct me if I'm wrong =])
4.Ascendancy vs Unrepentant
Ascendancy is one of my favourite off the album and unrepentant is ok.
I personally think ascendancy is alot better, I won't really say much more because I don't want to put anyone off Unrepentant as it is a good song also =]
5.A Gunshot To The Head Of Trepidation vs And Sadness Will Sear
Right this one is purely easy, I really don't like And Sadness WIll Sear... I donno why but it's really really not my cup of tea =] Anyway gunshot wins as it has a killer harmonized solo 
6.Like Light To The Flies vs Becoming The Dragon
This is one of the hardest to compare.
LLTTF is THE song that got me into trivium and I'm a massive fan of Becoming >.<
LLTTF starts straight into vocals, I believe it's the only song on Ascendancy that does this therefor it has a unique vaulity but Becoming has one of the nicest slippery scales in the intro I've heard in a long time.
The main riffs for both songs are pretty kickass both sound and play really well
Solos for both songs are pretty decent, both giving off the right vibes
Both songs are amazing.
7.Dying In Your Arms vs This World Can't Tear Us Apart
Hmmm thats all I'm going to say =]
8.The Deceived vs To The Rats
Both songs are really good, both have pretty nice intros.
My absolute fav thing about to the rats is the word "Skullfuck" come on now guys who has put that in a song with an 80s feeling to it and pulled it off.
I really like both songs again -.-
I guess these two are songs I'll have to compare when I'm angry cus they are angry songs lol =] I will update on this
9.Suffocating Sight vs Tread The Floods
Ooooof 2 fantasmic songs.
Tread the floods is my favourite off Crusade, no doubt.
Suffocating sight is the original Trivium thrash metal song, it's one to get the pits going and one to scream along to.
Tread the floods is a definate guitar players choice, the riffs in it are LUSH to listen to and LUSH to play, it's most probibly one of my all time fav songs ever.
10.Departure vs Contempt Breeds Contamination
Departure is most probibly one of the most technical songs on ascendancy, nice riffs.
Contempt has the better vocals the words get stuck in your head, make you need to sing.
Although Departure seems to be an outcast of the Ascendancy album so I'm guessing not many people like it?
11.Declaration vs The Rising
Declaration is another of the technical trivium songs with nice riffs but The Rising is a song you will listen to when your drunk and get up and start headbanging (or atleast I do lol)
Guitar wise=Dec>Rising
Singing wise=Dec<Rising
12. End Of Everything vs The Crusade
Not many people seem to realise End of Everything is the beginning to God Forbids - End of the World.
I wonder who made it first?
Anyway The Crusade wins, no comparison.

I have to go with Ignition/Detonation. I have liked Detonation from the very beginning. Ignition is also a great opener.

This is a hard one. I have listened a lot more Entrance lately, but Pull Harder was one of the first Trivium songs I remember hearing. So I'm choosing Pull Harder...

This is also very hard one. Last time I chose Ascendancy song so now I'm taking a Crusade one.

Usually I'm skipping them both. Too emotional

Both are great agressive songs but The Deceived beats the rats this time.
9.Suffocating Sight vs Tread The Floods
Tread the floods is one of the best tracks on The Crusade.
10.Departure vs Contempt Breeds Contamination
Departure is a good one, but Contempt Breeds Contamination is my personal favourite from the new album.
11.Declaration vs The Rising
Declaration it is.

Yes, this one's not fair because The Crusade wins End Of Everything by a landslide.
Looks like The Crusade beats Ascendancy 7 to 5.
