Seriously, the poll options really suck. There are many other guitar companies, and if you had to limit down to that many there would be much better choices than BC Rich and Peavey.
And I'm really surprised Jackson is winning. :?

Jackson's all the way
You all know jackson's are the wave of the future.
I guess it's all down to personal tastes,am I right? I could be an asshole and say Jackson's suck, but they don't. Jackson are still great, in fact they are more then great and they may totally OWN Peavey by a landslide, but I just like them
They feel better in my hands.

actually you have a good point, i've played a good peavy, but i think it's more of a status thing, if i seen a professional player playing a peavey guitar i'd subconsiously not take him seriously, i think maybe if a mediocre player plays a gibson it makes him seem great, but if a truly great player plays a peavey, people automatically look in the other direction.
it's sad really...
but still...

It doesn't matter to me what brand goes on the headstock. How you trully feel about the instrument is up to you. If I had a home-made guitar that looked like VH's first frankenstein, I'd still friggin play it if it felt good in my hands and if it sounded good, which my guitar is all of the above. If you label an instrument by what goes on the Headstock, then you might as well be goth or emo.

December 09, 2005 9:11:49 PM UTC Post #18

Thats how it should be, MTL.
But sadly, the way Guitarded Dude put it is the way it is.
It shouldn't matter what it says on the headstock, but you must admit..if you see a big band signed on a record label and the guitarist is playing an Epiphone or a Squier, some negative thoughts go through your heard.

December 09, 2005 9:16:07 PM UTC Post #19

But is Peavey crappy Epiphone or Squier? No.
That is all I am trying to say. The brand may not be big on guitars, but the guitar itself is great.

December 09, 2005 9:19:51 PM UTC Post #20

yes exactly, people put too much time into names, because honestly i completely fucked over my old squier by drilling holes through it and burning it, i was piss drunk and hated that guitar, yet now it has the best clean sound ever. the holes actually create their own sound holes.
it's a squier, but it's tone is amazing
yes, i say fuck brand labels, the main thing any guitarist should care about is the sound of the instrument, it's not about looks or labels.
but...

JACKSON!
