The Rising tone settings

Ive learnt how to play the rising but !
My tone is a bit shitty.
At the moment i have it on.
Bass: 9
Mid: 2
Treble: 7
Gain: 10
Any help here please

Don't know what gear you have or anything, but I'd recommend giving it a bit more mids. Realizing you can have some of it, and still play metal can do wonders for your tone. Also try and back off the gain a bit, as it will most likely give you much more clarity.

Thanks im only using my practice amp at the moment which is a LINE 6 SpiderII
I also have a BOSS Overdrive/distortion pedal

if u amps on insanse channel then really take back the gain to about 5-6, more mids to the mix as said will give it a better sound, i have one of the 30 watt practice amps but i never usually use it much since i got the half cab /head version- its got way better tone, and with that amp i dont think u need a distortion pedal as well, has enough built in the thing.
try using the metal channel, as its meant to replicate a mesa boogie dual rectifier, itsmay sound a bit thin though so just mess around with the presets till u get a decent enough tone
