Dam but i really do want to see corey growl a whole song on the next album and take over as frontman for the song live.

Well according to Matt you fuck your voice even if you can do it "properly" so dunno.
They still sound a lil strained on The Crusade, but nowhere near as bad as Ascendancy or ETI

If Matt would've continued doing whole songs in the screaming style, I doubt I'd be a fan right now. The overuse of powerful screaming weakens otherwise good compositions. Becoming the Dragon has a good amount of screaming. It serves itself well in that song.
Changing the singing voice to be a mixture of shouting and clean singing (old-school thrash sound) gives much more room to the singers own personal voice and thus gives a lot more layers to explore what comes to the vocals. And needless to say, occasional screaming has a lot more meaning that way.

matt went to mellisa cross so its possible he learned to scream properly.
i prefer it when he only screams parts of songs. such as becoming the dragon and to the rats. the mixture of clean vocals, aggressive singing with a little screaming here and there makes their songs sound more varied and adds more to the songs and thats a good thing

more of the same on the next album

Thats according to him though. Theres dudes who've been in bands screaming for years and their voice is fine.
I aint bashing Matt or anything I love the guy.
Just pointing out something
