Hello all,

I wasn't sure where to post this introduction so admins, forgive me if this is the wrong section. I'm The_Blode and I'm new here. I'm a huge fan of Trivium. I recently parted ways with the official Slipknot forum as it really is going down the pan. I think a lot of the "maggots" know this but are powerless to stop it. I was victimised for being myself. The band isn't in a much better state either...success has really gotten to some of them. However, I really respect members like James Donald Root who are actually really down to earth guys. I thought their last release was half-hearted and mediocre at best. I get a lot of stick for my love of Trivium but that doesn't affect me in the slightest. Heafy might get bashed for his "he man" attitude or his apparent arrogance, but I feel very inspired by him, his music and his attitudes towards life. I hope that I'll be accepted more so than I was over at the Slipknot forums,

Blode.

No no, I'm saying it was not as good as their previous release (Vol.3: The Subliminal Verses) and to be honest, it was always going to be difficult to top that because it was such a great album. I feel that the only reason it was a commercial success is because of the success of their previous albums. It had some moments of sheer brilliance but I felt like it also had moments of failure. Squeezing guitar solos into nearly every song was unnecessary.

mmmmmmm.interesting..but I dont mind the squeezing part hehhe. In some way ,yes you are right that the new album didnt sound of what it should but it was ok.and are you sure that roadrunner records pressured slipknot? man..I didnt know that.

Yes, Slipknot are RR's top export. RR make a lot of money from each CD that is sold...obviously, they share that with the band. There is so much that goes into an album than just music but it is that which starts the whole process.

I remember also that Corey once said that the band was having problems with some record label...that they were threatening the band in leaving them..someting like that....back then in 2004
