Except for Trivium and other metalcore-orientated bands lol (well at least that's what I've tend to have found)

Eh, the vocals are kind of annoying.
Pretty much the rest of the bands Creeping_Dan mentioned are great though. I'm really loving all the new Earache thrash, can't wait for Gama Bomb to put out a record.

Kreator
Annihilator
Exodus
Overkill
Not really a thrash band, but Motorhead was a great precursor to it...

What Bugs me about thrash is it's just fast punk most of the time with metal riffs. And even some good thrash bands I've heard have some awful lead guitarists.
But on the subject of good thrash, old school Iced Earth is by far the best in my opinion.

Thrash is King.
Testament is the best IMO.

Don't get me started on thrash.
I really can't stand much thrash bands
but then again, I do LOVE nonstandard raw black metal that sounds like it was recorded in mono through a boom box in a metal trash can. so a lot of standard music listeners would disregard my opinion.
