Track By Track Guide To The Crusade from Matt

QUOTE(metal7690)This album is going to be fucken massive, but I wish Matt would stop comparing every fucken second of every fucken song to a different band or a riff from a different song. This is why people bash on them...if he could just leave it at: this sounds like Trivium, then that would explain a lot without having to go through all the band comparisons and rip-off speeches. I don't give a shit what the haters have to say, and I will love triv no matter what, but the onslaught of riff by riff comparisons is pissing the shit out of me. I mean there's only 3-4 songs that he doesn't compare to atleast 2 other bands. Just my opinion. Trivium Sound Like Trivium.
couldnt agree with you more.

yeah hearing "I was thinking old school rammstein when I wrote this" or "then we went from a very testament riff to a kinda dream theater thing" just doesnt sound good.
"this is a fucking trivium album" is much better

I remember reading this in Kerrang! magazine.
Sounds like it's going to grab asendancy, fuck it's asencion, drill it back into the earth and all round pummel it into oblivion.
The Crusade is sounding like the God of Albums right now. :3

This was also written by Paolo. I don't even know how to describe it. It's a style I've never heard before. He played it for all of us and we were like, 'Is this a cover?'. It sounds like something Def Leppard might have done. It sounds sleazy and dirty but catchy anthemic, and gigantic too. It's fucking awesome!
this sounds really interesting
So Paolo is the one to blame
I think you will be suprised with the way this one sounds. This is also Travis's favorite song of the album.
No I wasn't really surprised how it sounded and it's easily my least favorite Trivium song ever.

The rising is one of the best songs on the album, its like a call to arms for all metallers.
