=E In Missouri said:Dude, WTF?! Are you saying that you are a fan because of the people in the band? Trivium is bigger than that. Heafy would be the only major change to the band because he is the main songwriter, that's when we'd see the band truly change. Travis can be replaced. Besides, don't feel bad, would you leave Trivium if you were in the band? For me the answer would be a serious NO! Obviously if he sees a reason to leave Trivium is better off and any guy with talent in metal drumming can step in. Do you know what a Crusade is? Do you understand any of the messages that Heafy and the guys are trying to get out into the world? Or are you just one of those image fans? Coheed is doing well, Metallica lost Cliff and Jason and they are alive and kicking. Trivium is young, up and coming and can renew any situation they're in because they have charisma and fight left in them. I can understand how you feel though. When you're young the world ends over little things but once you grow up dude you have no choice but to deal with it and try to survive. The best thing you could ever do to be a true Trivium fan is to never give up by letting your emotions get in the way. Support these guys because they work hard to give us something other bands do not and one day they won't be there and neither will you so enjoy what you have and what you obtain b/c you never know which day will be your last. Enjoy your favorite bands dude, bad things happen alot, don't take one single thing for granted. Besides, I saw the new drummer, Nick, just over one week ago and he is good enough to keep up and he'll get better with practice. Don't give up dude! youre a douche Take your teeth out of me

Well if your just a fan of the bands music, lineup changes should be nothing to worry about as long as they keep making music that you will love to listen to. I understand the guys point. If you are one of those people that really care about the band, then you will obviously care for who is actually in the band also. It just depends on how you think. Most people on here care for the music AND the members, so I understand the worry and all that...but calling somebody a douche is a little pushy..just my 2 cents. ____________________________________________

And whatever happens with Travis, best of luck with him. He's a really talented guy and the only member thats been in trivium since the early stages, so my respects go to him for the dedication. ____________________________________________

I agree, I love the members, but I mean, to call someone a douche for telling you to support a band no matter what, that is a bit hypocritical isn't it? ;p |

@Jer: what i gathered from it and correct me if im wrong is that he is saying it doesnt matter if travis leaves, and that the only person that would have a profound effect if he left would be matt and none of the other members

Yea, for the most part he did say that, though I don't agree with it.. because after all, Everyone in the band writes songs as it is, the sound isn't Matt alone, but I also understand where he is coming from, as far as the "support the band, regardless of the members" thing. |
