TRIVIUM FANS TAKE A STAND AGAINST CRAP UK CHARTS
September 16, 2009 1:56:22 AM UTC Post #1

Are u sick of the brittish charts with crap bands and artists like justin timberlake or westlife always at the top of the charts. we must take a stand so class bands like trivium get reconsied for REAL talent. what to do is buy the single anthem (we are the fire) from hmv whatever (which costs two pounds) so we can try to get trivium into the top ten. but if we got it 2 number one it would be wonderful. so whos with me?

err, its a bit late if you want to get Anthem high in the charts - it peaked at number 40, and I'm not buying another copy.
There really is no point though - the charts are mainly there for the music that record companies can sell to people who don't think about what they buy, or are the most easy to sell. Getting Trivium or any other metal band into the charts for one week makes no difference to anyone.
Besides, The Crusade made it to Number 7, so we won that one.

The fact is all the good bands with the real talent want to make entire albums full of good songs and not just release a single that will sell shit loads and then back it up with an album full of mediocre tracks..
