Trivium should re-record Ember to Inferno

I think it would be a much better album if they re-recorded it. With better Quality, Better Vocals, and better playing.

I'd hope it sound better, Matt has gotten so much better with his vocals since 2003.

NO. PLEASE DO NOT.

A discography should be left alone to stand the test of time while showing a band's growth over time.

Special Edition tracks ? (like Ember on In Waves DVD ?) Sure, why not. An entire albume ? HELL NO !

Frankly I am surprised that noone has said that Nick could make it better, because I for one am tired as hell reading what fans have to say when comparing Nick to Travis especially.

Personally, I truly beleve that Ember to Inferno (on In Waves DVD) turned out great, but, LEAVE IT THERE.
Nick could very well RUIN my Trivium experience quite quickly if given the chance to re-record all drum tracks on previous albums.

There was a user that had the balls on Youtube to say that Nick was quote: "2x the drummer with half the equipment".......
I say that is CRAP. All Nick needs is a snare and double bass. Travis actually played his entire kit, whereas Nick simply DOES NOT. I am not saying that I like one drummer more than the other, but Travis worked back then and Nick works now and in the future.....that is it.

Re-recording albums is a gimmick and should be reserved for those bands that were shit to begin with....not to simply further polish a masterpiece.

My thoughts, perhaps not yours,
Allan

I agree with the majority of what you are saying. But, I don't believe that re-recording an album is violating the original in any way. It will still be what it has always been, with its distinct sound which was Trivium at the time, with the three artists that were perfect at the time. I think a re-recording would be interesting because live we see some really cool elements and examples of how the songs have evolved over the years i.e. ending solo on When All Light Dies. Would be cool to hear that in a studio version.

That being said, I don't think they'll have the time to do it anytime soon

I guess you have sorta changed my opinion. i guess they should just leave it alone. Well lets hope for a Remaster at least. AND there are rumors going around they will remake "The Storm" on the next album. That would be sick. But just Rumor.

THAT, I can definately agree with, as it sounds like ass from a sound quality standpoint....but the musicianship still kills and should be left to stand as a '2003 Time Capsule' of sorts for the band.

Did they do that to reign in blood? Maybe digitally remastered would be cool. But the old Trvium is what I know them from back in battle of the metal bands Orlando
