Alright....it's been a long-ass time since I've visited the board and in light of all of the information that's come out of the Trivium camp about The Crusade I was wondering what vocal style you guys prefer from Matt. I know that what's done is done and the next album is going to feature less screaming than albums past (not that it's a bad thing), but if you could choose what direction Trivium went in the future as far as vocals go, would you have Matt singing or screaming the majority of the time? Honestly, my favorite track that the guys have done is Demon...I'd really like to see Trivium go back to the vocal stylings of Ember to Inferno and scream a little more. |

Im all for a new approach to the vocals, as long as the screaming isnt left out at all. A balance of, pretty much, half clean vocals and half screaming would satisfy me. |

I'd be happy for all singing myself...screaming is alright in small amounts, but it does limit the music (and audience). As Mozart said, "Melody is music, and music is melody." |
