There isn't an option to keep it the same as it is. So, I picked more clean vocals, merely because I think Matt has a great singing voice.

Anyone ever think Corey could step up for the screaming/growling? He can do it pretty good, I'm sure if he worked on it he'd be able to belt out a badass growl.
I have noticed matt's clean vocals are suffering a bit cuz of so much screaming. I don't care what direction he goes with it, because I trust he'll make it kickass either way.

Actually Asphx I saw them tonight and Corey fucking screamed great...better than Matt IMO. Matt has a sore throat though I noticed he sounded a lil different.

So, screaming can effect clean vocals? :shock: :?

when you scream you are putting incredible strain on your lungs and on your vocal chords. after a screaming gig i usually can't talk for a couple hours afterwards. thats why if you are singing like Matt you have to take care of your voice as best you can. that menas no smoking, no heavy drinking (especially spirits). also no coffee, no chocolate and definitley no dairy products right before a gig. anything with lactose in it will coat your throat and make it harder to sing. i also make a point of not havign a beer before i play becuase (like coffee) it is a diharetic and dehydrates you. i make sure i have had about three pints worht of water (and a piss ) before i go on stage. it makes it a more comfortabel experience all round.
