QUOTE(Ironicph8)QUOTE(Voice Of Deception)Oh, look who's talking...you shouldn't be on the internet if you're going to register to a forum of a band you're going to bash...you basically are bashing them by saying they sound alot like Metallica as if they're completely copying them or something when that's totally not the case...obviously it is your opinion (duh) but you can't say 'they DO' sound like Metallica because that makes it sound like you think you're right when you are only voicing your opinion so in the future use 'IMO'.
Yes I registered in July 2005 to bash songs that came out in the past few months. That makes complete sense. I love Trivium. I just don't like their new songs... IMO they are not their best IMO i hope that there are better songs on the album IMO the vocals and the overall sound reminds me of metallica IMO it is going to be an album that is going to divide their fans... change does that. IMO I should not have to put IMO due to the fact that is I am writing it and it is not in quotes it should be assumed as my opinion unless I say otherwise. But there you go...
It's not what you said, it's how you said it...which made it sound like everyone agreed with you. And you are clearly being cocky by overusing 'IMO' in that post, very lame really.

I agree, it will devide the fans. Trivium will keep the fans with good taste in music, and lose the fans that do not.

The new album will lose some fans (fans of screaming vocals I guess and metalcore in general) but will gain many new fans.
And I aint sure if I said it before.. but will people lay off comparing Matt's voice to Hetfield's. If you gonna do that.. then you should also take into account all the power metal singers who copy Bruce Dickinson.. or Zakk Wlyde and his "Ozzy" impressions!
As for someone who has heard the new album... it has more in common with fast thrashy shit like Testament, old Megadeth, Anthrax, Annihilator, Slayer, etc then Metallica!
And Matt's vocals tbh aint much different to his vocals on Ascendancy in the clean parts.
Matt Heafy can sing.. and fuck he does it good! 8)

Damn straight Matt. I'm glad your opinion on it is the same as mine. And props for the power metal point. Spot on.
