Trivium's new direction towards music (less screaming)

So couple mins ago i just saw some of the youtube videos from Trivum's ROCK am RING concert (I thought the new song had an okay intro but kicked ass middle and end, but thats a different topic). After seeing the denotation video first, for obvious reason, i watched the other videos as well. Man to me it sounded really bad and untrivium like. Matt's switch from screaming to just regualr singing, soudned to me like almost yelling. I dont know, it could be i was just used to the screaming in the old songs, but like i want to know Do you think the shift away from screaming will break trivum's image, or will it make them a better band?:

Well I think that The new stuff being done how it is, will be awesome. The old stuff wasn't made to be sung the way it was live today, so it's no biggie.

the new stuff will be good with the singing, but i think matt should still scream the old stuff

idk cant say if it'll make em bigger or not but after hearing denotation id say the first half of the song NEEDS screaming....they lost all the heavy-ness i loved when matt stopped screaming....errr idk wut to say

the new direction of vocals is fine for their new songs but I agree w/ the general consensus...the old songs just sound wrong when sung, much less impact. I think Matt should scream the old songs unless it is causing physical damage to his lungs or something. But hey, atleast us hardcore fans got to see the old songs done proper up until this point.

i agree in a sense the first half i wasnt feeling it till he started singing it just didnt seem like trivium and i do think the old stuff should be screamed as well but im sure it was messing up his vocals too badly im really worried weather ill like the new album or not

Me myself think it's good that Matt's not screaming as much anymore but only because it's better for himself...i do kinda miss when he screamed alot, but I guess this is their new style and i have no problem getting used to it.

I dislike the clean vocals.

It will make them bigger. Definetly.
However, that doesn't mean it's better. The jury is still out on that front.
