fuck me... best gig i've been to in years... honestly. my back is killing me, my triceps have never had such a work out, and i took a battering from bikers, juggernauts, metal heads... everyone. was fuckign awesome. any one else go?

best part of the night..... can't decide between in flames doing "take this life" or getting on a bus filled with metal heads, seeing a walking fringe coming upstairs, and then screaming "ARGH! THERES AN EMO ON THE BUS!" to which, the chants of "EMO! EMO!" lasted for a few hours

I went and it was fuckin awesome. Jumped into the standing section during lamb of god, up front for inflames and pits for slayer. Neck kills now n few bruises but it was so worth it :twisted:

I'm going to the Manchester gig tomorrow, and I am so fucking excited - I can't wait and I've been looking forward to this for months!

slayer failed to impress me greatly.. for me, in flames kicked most ass, then lamb of god, then slayer... i missed half of bodoms set due to shitty sign posting, and didnt even catch thine eyes bleed.

and wozza, trust me your missing out if u dont go.

In Flames dissappointed me, they didnt play enough old classics.. No Bullet Ride, no Jotun, no Episode 666

You know, I love Slayer too much for them not to impress me (I hope... :?) - so long as they play loads of the classics I will go mental.
I don't really know any of In Flames' stuff so I'm quite excited about checking them out live to see what all the fuss is about.

I missed Thine Eyes Bleed, but i don't like them so i don't care.
Missed Bodom, because we got lost on the car park, ended up the othr side of the NEC.
because of that i missed the start of LoG. what i caught of them was fucking phenomenal though. band of teh night by a fucking mile.
In Flames were shit in my opinion. Nothing from Whoracle, Clayman or Lunar Strain. one song from Jester Race, and you could tell Anders was reluctant, this guy was pestering him for older songs and then Anders just went like 'i give up, we'll play some jester race stuff' and we got Graveland. no other good stuff.
then Slayer were great. great that they played a fair bit of old stuff, but not enough. still a good set, and Dave's drumming was spot on as expected.
I saw the same guy as Phil walk past me and thought it was Matt. Maybe you have a twin, dude.
