Wah pedals.

But i heard that Vox rules and Morley "sucks big floppy donkey dick" from the sales dude at Sam Ash, but the Vox was 100 bucks more than the morley. Which is the best wah for over all hard rock music?

Morley wah's are the best alternatives to the crybaby. i dont liek the crybaby cos every fucker under the sun uses it, meaning very similar wah tones across the board. The Morley classic wah is cheap, solid and sounds fantastic. George Lynch, Steve Vai and Mark Tremonti are all Morley endorsees and IMO, if a unit is good enough for Vai, its good enough for me. In terms of pedals, dont listen to the sales pitch, test it for yourself and make your opinion that way. from what i hear, the guys at Sam Ash get comission on what they sell, hence him trying to sell you a pedal that costs $100 more without any real advantages to it.

If you want a wah with a small range, and not a very aggressive sweep, get a cry baby. it'll give you that signature kinda wah drone. nice and wide when open, and gets really creamy and harmonic when fully closed. If you want one that will tear the pants off any chick in a 10 mile radius, go morley. I like the bad horsies, they've got a sweep form hell and the fully closed is like a freaking octaver (not really, but its intense) it'll sure as hell compensate for a poor vibratto, and if you ahve a good one add that extra bit of saturated, screaming fatness we all crave in or bends.
