What guitar should i get?

Okay, i really can't be arsed trying to figure out what guitar i should get,can you guys help me out? Note that i'm not exactly a expert on guitar and don't own more than 1 and i play a variety of music going from Trivium to Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Yeah ^
Fenders are good for rock and softer sort of music...but they're not that great for metal.

Well i am interested in fenders for their clean sound but i already own a squier strat, is there much difference in the 2 brands?

build quality yes...tone...yeah...
It sounds like you need...I dunno...maybe an Ibanez...any series would do you good really... :?

Yeah. That's why Karl Sanders uses one, and one of the Cryptopsy guitarists were using a Strat in the Trois Riveries Deathfest 2004 concert. As well as the three guitarists in Maiden.

Most metal players will use the "thin-neck" brands, like ESP/LTD, Jackson, or Ibanez; but if you want to do both go with a fender fat strat.
