What the fuck...

This certainly sucks. I stopped posting regularly on the .org boards a fair while ago now, but I always checked in every so often to see how everyone was doing. As has been said, a lot of those people weren't Trivium fans, but the main area of the forum used was the general discussion. I'm actually pretty disgusted that the bastard webmasters did this.

To all the people saying shit, stop being such immature wankers. I'm a Trivium fan and I think the rip off that is Trivium World is one of the shittiest things that could have been done. Keep all of your creative 'good riddance' comments to yourself and try to realise that a lot of people have now lost a pretty significant part of their life, something I am not ashamed to admit the .org boards once were to me.

Anyway, there seems to be little point in me whining anymore; all the best, old .org guys, we had some good fun :(

I'm sorry you feel that way daniel

the devs are coding furiously to make this forum more like well a forum lol, although there i fallout on the whole we think this is the best step forward to get as much info from the band to you guys, but the forum community is very important too, maybe check back again in some time and maybe you'll like the changes were making ! :)

We've rolled out a lot of changes to the site since the last post in this topic. Virtually all the content that Sni9er felt should stay with the forums is here. The Trivium World community is in its own place now. The Forums have a lot more forum-like features.

Basically, there's no reason to think things are "destroyed" (how melodramatic), when virtually everything you need is here now. All the same people can access all the same content.

Hope we've updated things in response to your concerns as best we can, but if not we're still happy to hear what you have to say.

Is there any way to have like the old forums a way you can jump to the last new post on a thread?? One of the things that has really put me off posting is that I have to scroll through an entire thread to find what I want, and its annoying when threads are really long. The site looks better, but I do agree that the old forum layout was much more user friendly and less long winded. I don't come on TW much anymore because the forum is just so un user friendly. I don't know why it bothers me on here. I use another forum with the same system, I just can't get my head around it on here, so I avoid it as much as possible.

@Unrepentant: There's a "jump to last post" option for every thread. You can also click on last reply in any of the high-level views of topics. Pretty standard stuff.

More forum features will be rolling out over the coming weeks and months.

I haven't posted here in a while. I occasionally returned to read posts and try to catch up with whatever was going on with the regular message board posters and such but I haven't had the time until now. Regardless... Wow. I'm not really feeling the new setup. It's odd and not nearly as aesthetically pleasing. I dislike the way you have to view the posts now. The organization somehow seems a bit sloppy to me. I suppose I'll get used to it.

My sentiments exactly. I feel the same way as a fellow old trivium.org user...

Meh, I miss the .org boards, but shit changes, I'm slowly getting used to this one.

Damn... I've never experienced this many people that are so emotionally attached to their fucking computers. I don't like this forum either. Wanna know why? BECAUSE I HAVE A REAL SOCIAL LIFE. I'm all about discussing some music, but god damn. Get out of your little rollie chair and go get some poon tang or something. It honestly cracks me up hearing people bitch so much about a fucking forum change. Get the hell over it.
