i vary, and its usually my low E string which wanderrs about. at this very minute i am BADGBe tuning, but i drop the string down to G and often a whole octave (btw, i have a .052 on the low string). i keep the other strings in tune cos i like to shred in E and i like the tension for shredding aswell.

Drop D sounds fukin awsome, but i wanna try Drop C and Drop B, but my strings ar'nt think enough to go that low!
I went to go and buy some size 10's but the man at the shop said i he will have to custom the guitar to make the strings fit and he sed it will cost me £28!
is that right or is he trying to rip me off?
iv got a RG370DX.

Wait why the fuck would your E be a B and the rest of your guitar in standard???

I'd do it for you for a fiver, and if you were a friend, free. You don't need to customise anything other than the nut. Take a very small file, and gently file it away intil the string fits snugly into the nut. Then take of a tiny bit more so it can breathe and warp with the changes in temperature. Bear in mind that you'll be in dropped tuning the whole time with really heavy strings, or you can fuck up or snap the neck because of the tension. And if you put on regular size strings afterwards, you'll lose sustain unless you replace the nut.
Hope that helps. But DON'T pay him £28 to do something as easy as that. Think about how little time it'll take, and how many pints you could buy instead. =D

BLS uses that tuning in quite a few of their songs. I use it sometimes.
