So basically I'm not really a metal fan.Not because I don't like it but I just never grew up with any metal ever.Like it was only a few years ago when I even knew about it lol
As hardcore as I get is slipknot, korn and trivium
So anyways I love listening to new bands and music so what in the way of metal would you guys suggest for someone who doesn't listen to metal? whats good?
Enlighten me if you will.

Cradle of filth seem to get ragged on alot but nevertheless I did buy an album of theres because I had heard of them so I thought it might be good to start there.Thornography was the only one I could find but I hear the older stuff is better. They seem pretty alright.
I downloaded symphony of destruction.Cool song.I just have to find an album....
Any songs you would recommend by them for now?

Megadeths Peace Sells, Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction are all albums you have to own!
From Cradle of Filth, id go with Midian, its their only album i like.

I think Cradle get a lot of undeserved stick just because Dani's a bit of a tosser. A lot of their music's actually pretty good - as long as you can get used to Dani's overly screechy vocals. The first four albums are all musically very good (particularly Dusk... And Her Embrace and Midian) and even the "Bitter Suites..." album has some decent songs on it, they did kind of lose their way after that though - and they're rubbish live.

^^Oh I see.Thats unfortunate for them.
I'll have to remember those Megadeth albums next time I'm buying cds.
Whats the best Metallica album?

ride the lightning,in my opinion...can't go wrong with songs like..for whom the bell tolls, creeping death..and fade to black.
master of puppets comes in second in my books.

^^ Ok thanx.I might check it out before I buy it.I was looking throught their cds yesterday and they had so many I didnt know what to get so I left it.
Enter sandman...that song never gets old.
How to you guys feel about Black Sabbath?
I was watching a metal documentary on tv and wondered whether they were worth a listen to.

Well, its all on your taste, Black Sabbath are my favorite band ever, but some people dont like them at all.
Why dont you, before going out and buying cds, go on myspace and check out all these bands? lol

enter sandman is from the black album, which is a pretty good album to start with if you are new to it..however it is far from their best..and the previous ones should be to your liking as well.
and black sabbath is absolutely legendary and they have made some amazing music..definitely worth looking into if only to listen to and realise what an influence this band was on all that came after them...if you are interested,i would suggest looking into the albums.."sabbath,bloody sabbath"..or.."paranoid" (might recognize some hits from this one)..just to see what you think.
and as stated above..best to just listen to it on the net before you actually go and purchase it.

Black Sabbath were the creators of metal. They deserve respect whether you find them interesting or not
