to be honest i really dont know if there is a book based on the subject, but i know that dragons are strongly associated with waterfalls, rivers and seas and stuff so i think there must be some kind of link between the story and some peice of japanese/chinese mythology but im not sure, im quite interested to find more out...

No there is definately a book involved in the insperation behind Becoming The Dragon.
I don't know what it's called but the whole Koi, Dragon, rawr, shizz was inspired by it. I don't know if the looks actually about that, but I think it caught his attention so he had a look at the myth it was based off or something.
Trivium is pretty much the Myth made Real. 8)
But even as a Fishy they beat the other fishies up.

Trivium: ... ... ... ... ... Fuck this, TO THE RIVER, AND ONWARDS TO THE WATERFALL!!
Goldfish: ... If only I didn't have fins ... *Swims off to undersea castle bedroom to moan and complain.* ... then I could be real scenexcore ... *Swiping fin motion.*

Not necessarily a book but a legend,

The Legend of the Dragon Carp
It is told that 360 carp swam up a river. But on reaching the Dragon's gate, only one carp was able to swim over to the other side. It is also said that the successful carp who swims through the Dragon's gate can be transformed into a Dragon in the instant of it's leap out of the water, thus avoiding evil spirits.
The legend teaches us that only the fittest and the strongest can achieve the highest goals.

Could that be a reference to Trivium and their work ethic?

8) "Balls, I'll swollow it and run a mile."
Ahaha, Yes. Yes I am. Slightly.
I wonder what would happen if somone put their cock in Dragon's Gate.... Hrmm....
I need not write a scenario for this one. 8)

@Mike; I'm ill, and it's late. So I misread the title of the Legend and thought it was "The Legend of dragon Crap" - It is told that 360 crap swarm up a river, but on reaching the dragons gate only one crap was able to swim to the other side.

Made me laugh, till I realised it said Carp and Swam... D: then I felt like I'd been deprived of a good giggle.

Just think of it as if you eat the carp it turns to crap.

Now theres an Image!?!
It looks like a dog that's been awkwardly melded to a salmon. D; DEAR GOD.

Now I'm never putting my cock in dragons gate. I don't want a small dog melded to my pen0r. O_O

@Becoming; ;D You can't handle my babies.

Thats some pretty cool shit dude, i think the legend inspired the song.. also imo i think the really heavy fast section of the song just before the evolution is complete symbolises the koi/carps journey to swim through the dragons gate and thus transform into a dragon..
