Yeah, there was a hardcore kid at the concert last night. Me and Josh recked him more than once.

"Thankyou; there will be no breakdown"

I think I might be going off metalcore bands
"About time!" some of ye may cry out.. but there still shall be certain bands who will always have a place in my heart (KsE, I LOVE YOU FOREVER... lol)
I seem to be more into thrash, or death or power metal. When people do mix hardcore with metal.. it's gotta be really good/interesting, otherwise it means shit to me.

lol at the start of each set you should shout out "No we will not write more breakdowns" and then go into a thrash/death metal song

Where do you think Thrash, and, ipso facto, Death Metal are derived from?
As for interesting albums, the modern "Metalcore" bands really never did anything for me. I'd recommend that you check out the self-titled album by Carnivore. Carnivore was the band which Peter Steele did vocals for before he went faggoth and formed Type HIV Positive, by the way. Some of the tracks from Bloody Kisses had actually been written with the intent of being performed by Carnivore.
Anyhow, their first album uses a menial amount of Hardcore elements (some riffs, drum patterns, etc), and their second album, Retaliation, uses a lot more Hardcore crossover elements, but I still find it to be a good listen, nonetheless. But check them out sometime.
