Does that translate to:
"I wish i was Matt Heafy because he's so cool and I am a faggot for making such a ridiculous post".
Thought so.
And well said Justin.

Reeper is spot on. And whoever said they sound like Trivium with a general thrash influence needs to learn the meaning of the term thrash.

Would you care to explain how he is spot on?
After Justins post was detailed, specific and made perfect sense.

They sound like watered down thrash, but there are far too many riffs that are clear-cut Metallica rip offs. However, it is not jsut metallica they have ripped off, there are a number of rips that jsut ound like watered down versions of classic 80s riffs.
In general, at the minute Trivium, and especially Matt, use their influences too much as a crutch saying such things as 'This song reminds me of Rammstein' and 'This song has an intro like Testament and then a verse like Annihilator'.
It's fair to say that the Metallica comparions would not be as prominent as they are at the minute if Trivium themselves had not made claims to the effect of 'We want to be the next Metallica', but I think they aren't jsut ripping off Metallica, but a whole array of other bands but because of these prior acknowledgements by the band they are not focused on as much.

The truth is that the new album kicks ass , if you like it thats good for the band etc, if you dont thats cool too, dont listen to it(its your loss though)

I think the crusade sounds really great. Music is music you know? I always hated metallica, you have to look past what might sound like jame's voice and find the trivium in it. Im a huge megadeth fan and hear ALOT of influence of marty friedman in coreys solo's and I think thats really cool. Rest assured that by the next album trivium will be forged into the band they always wanted to be, and I can bet you it will sound alot diffrent than the crusade.

ETI is still the best though
