why do alot of bands get lighter with age (not all)

I'll second that. I was very dissapointed with A Matter.... I quite liked Brave New World though. They said the most recent album would be the best since Seventh Son...
...And Metallica get criticised for overhyping.

All a matter of opinion really. I think it IS their best since seventh son; those two are in fact my two favourite maiden albums. Of course there's bound to be disagreement, given that they have released so many studio albums.

True. But you know you can't say opinion is over everything else. Some things are generally just shit, like if someone would say St Anger is as good as Ride the Lightning, that's basically wrong. Not saying you can't like something though.

Seventh Son of a Seventh Son is a classic.

Powerslave was their last great album. Seventh Son had one good song, and sucked from them on. The X Factor is the worst 'Metal' album ever.

I agree. The only album that I think comes close is Brave New World.

Is there anything you two don't agree on?

Personally, I consider (I know it's a live album) Live After Death, Somewhere in Time and A Matter of Life and Death to be all great albums.
