can anyone gimme advice on how best to record my band so you can hear the guitar and drums at more or less the same level? bare in mind all i have is my phones mic atm, so im talking more about WHERE i position the mic rather than what the mic is :P
Okay so whenever i play a note on any string on my guitar and then take my finger off the board it makes this little chimey sound. it gets really annoying. also, if i play stuff on the high E/B strings for some reason the low E string starts making sounds. even though im not touching it.
I've thought it could be my action but i didnt wanna do anything till gettin other guitarists opinions. can anyone help/has had a similar problem?
its a dean razorback DB with no floyd btw.
I'm thinking of getting something like a 4 or an 8 track recorder for my birthday in feb. I want something that i can record ideas on and also layer other stuff (eg: if i record a solo, i can also record a rhythm track thatll play at the same time) but i dunno what brands or w/e i should look out for. who out there can recommend some stuff?
cheers

I just read on UG that Ron Asheton's dead...that's fuckin lame. an amazingly influential guitarist and a real savior of rock n roll. Rest in peace.
