So I'm wondering if theres any chance that I get a sick heavy tone with my old Epiphone SG? At the moment I use Marshall MG100DFX with a Boss Metal Core distortion pedal and my Ibanez RG320 with the standard pickups. Personally I think my tone is ok and stuff, but I can't play dropped with it because of the tremolo. I can't get the tone I like with my SG (Abit too soft for me) and that's why I want to try the Pod 2.0. But of course, I want to try recording some of my own shit aswell!

Honestly they're well worth the money, not only as a good practice tool but they really do offer up some good home recording tone. With the amount of models and effects in it, you can pretty much tweak to get any sound that you want.
