i have always been somewhat confused as t why it seems to be general consensus that black sabbath was the first heavy metal band, and that they founded the genre. in my opinion led zeppelin did at least as much, and probably more for metal than sabbath did.
listen to communication breakdown off of led zeppelin I. that album was released more than a year before sabbath's first album.

i love both bands, i just don't think that zeppelin gets nearly enough credit when it comes to talking about the beginning of metal, its always sabbath, sabbath, sabbath.
what do you guys think?
anybody else seen it? i just saw it last night and it is the funniest shit i've seen in a long time.
i just heard that tommy vext was kicked out of divine heresy for some sort of onstage fight with dino cazares. has anybody heard anything else about this?
i can not see why anybody would want to play a guitar that had only a bridge pickup. when playing leads i almost exclusively use my neck pickup.
are there some advantages to having just one pickup that i dont know about?
holy shit!
i had no idea how bad machine head was on some of their earlier albums. i just bought the burning red a couple hours ago, and it is a terrible album. there is one song that i semi-like. rob flynn is half way to rapping on most songs.
