    Just a fan's two cents.
Coming from what can best be described as a "Musical Explosion", I must say I am extremely impressed. People, we have been graced in our generation with a young band that's way ahead of its time. With Trivium's latest album, The Crusade, a first time listener cannot imagine that the band's frontman, Mr. Heafy, is still just 20 years old. In fact, the album's last track showcases Trivium's advantage over other bands in the genre: Maturity. This is a band wise beyond their years music-wise. Trivium has a wide buffet of musical flavors that will appeal to a large mass of metal fans waiting for the genre's revival. With beautiful twin leads that will make Dave Murray and Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden) proud, Solos remiscent of Metallica's glory days, Riffs that make Dimebag jump up and down joyfully in Rock Heaven and Hell, I also heard some guitar work that made me think of Spain's Power Metal Gods: Mago de Oz. Just listen to the album's last track, "The Crusade", and you'll know what I mean. Trivium's latest effort finally captures that signature sound that once you hear it, you say "Hey, That's Trivum!". With all this said, here in Puerto Rico we wish Trivium a million times the success they have so far, and if they keep on improving (and trust me, they will) they'll acheive the status of Metal Legends and will forever be known as "The Saviors of Metal".

    Thanks for reading,
José E. Burgos from Río Grande, Puerto Rico
