  Death are easily one of my favourite bands and Chucks's death is one of the cruellest things that could ever have happened to metal. Chucks's voyage from the deepest darkest depths of Scream Bloody Gore to The Fragile Art of Existence's hope and rebirth, however, will always remain with us, He was a genius and a virtuoso, and he didn't just create a genre of music. He repeatedly redefined it in new and exciting ways and gave birth to an entire way of life. We have Chuck to thank for not only Death's masterpieces but every single death metal masterpiece. His legacy is truly all-encompassing and his potential for still greater works is now in the souls of a whole army of death metal musicians. Thanks to Chuck, DM is now immortalised, and in death he has given it eternal life.
  I am proud to wish him a happy afterlife. RIP, Chuck Schuldiner!
