  Well the first you should do is buy a metronome. This is so helpfull, even you think it isn´t necessary in some section or song. Practice always with it. Then separate your practice time into sections, so for example you can practice 20 min a day scales, other 20 harmony, then solos and other 20 on riffs. And most important, be constant on your practice routine. It´s essential to practice every day, or at least most of the days (maybe six days a week). Be patient and you´ll see how your hability has increased in more or less six months: by the date you´ll able to play amazing things!
